Recipient of the 2025 Royal Holloway Education Excellence Award

In 2025, the Royal Holloway Education Excellence Award for Excellence Through Collaboration was awarded in recognition of the collective achievements of the teaching and support team for the first-year compulsory Media Arts module.

Through a series of strategic interventions and collaborative initiatives, the team achieved a 50% reduction in non-submission rates, significantly decreasing resits and failed assessments. The project demonstrated the impact of constructive feedback, shared expertise, and a collective commitment to student success.

The award recognised an approach to teaching and learning grounded in collaboration, inclusivity, and student-centred pedagogy, creating an environment in which students were better equipped to engage, succeed, and thrive.
